There is huge value in that data – from safety and insurance risk management through to business and consumer intelligence insights. But much of the business value of sensor data is lost. Why? Data volumes and bandwidth limitations mean that businesses can only capture some of these data and real time access to all these data is impracticable.

Overview

Undiluted data will always compress better than diluted data but this increase in compression is massive, the nearest technical competition (similar for speed and encoding is ZIP which on average will achieve 50% compression whereas we will achieve an average of 75%+ on the same data which actually means that we will store the final compression in half the space of ZIP or less).
